Certificate of Deposit
Texas Gulf Bank lists penalties based on the original CD term and the amount withdrawn: seven days of interest for terms of 31 days or less; one month for 32 days through one year; six months for terms over one year but under 48 months; and 12 months for terms of 48 months or longer. Its CD description says principal withdrawals are not allowed before maturity, accrued interest can be withdrawn without penalty, and automatically renewed CDs have a 10-calendar-day grace period.
This summary uses the Certificate of Deposit section, not the separate IRA terms on the comparison page. A listed penalty does not guarantee permission to withdraw principal early. The page does not provide all conventions needed to calculate the exact fee for an individual account.
